Leveling up in the faith?

I've been thinking about posting here for a while, but like everything it seems, I just keep on putting it off. But I want to keep this blog running. So here goes. God has been teaching me a lot these days. Sometimes, though it feels like I have to learn the same lessons again and again. But thinking about it, if I had everything figured out as a college student, what would I have left to learn? And it's pretty arrogant to think I'll have all my ducks in a row. At the same time, it's frustrating to fight the same problems again and again after I thought I learned my lesson. Unconsciously, I think I see my life as a video game. I mean, what does a video game have? In role-playing games(my favorite genre), you start out at level 0, they give you tutorials on how to do different game mechanics, and then, bit by bit, you level up and fight harder and harder opponents that get you closer to your goal of saving the world or whatever. 本当に旅行に行きたい。(I really want to travel)

In the middle of studying, I just wanted to get down these thoughts. I'm listening/half watching this video right now, and it so makes me want to hop on a plane and go to Japan this instant. I want to travel its streets, speak to its people, lie down on the grass in a park and look at the sky and know that while I'm a stranger and a sojourner on this earth, this is where I belong. Crazy answer to prayer

I'm not always a morning person. I can be, but like many other college students I specifically set my school schedule so I can sleep in - and I get to sleep in two times during the school week. No, no extra hours of work in the morning, unless I absolutely have to(meaning I either procrastinated or was overwhelmed by work). I'm not one of those early morning productive children. More likely I'd work through the night into the morning. In any case, I like my sleep. A lot. And people like me better when I do sleep haha. Some might say I like to sleep as much as a cat Well, two Tuesdays ago(the 13th) was one of the days that I worked on homework late. I got into bed around 2:30. As I was lying there, settling my mind, I remembered something. Oh no! I told one of my friends that I'd go to 7 AM prayer that morning. 7 AM seemed way too close.
