I'm alive/awesome book

A lot of the thoughts I've been having over the last few months have been about having faith in God's goodness and how to act out his love on the earth. And I feel that writing it down has at the least been a good exercise. As I've been walking around, going about my daily business, I think about these things, and act on them. I think that God has also been answering my prayers about how to show his love to others and how to really live out life. And he has been reassuring me about the hope and trust I can have in him. So that has made life these past few months full of interesting and engaging conversations about philosophy and faith, full of situations that stretched my faith and made me rely on God. Praise him for the way he's really been answering prayer. For example, a few of my friends who don't share my beliefs have brought up faith, or I've brought it up, and we were able to talk as friends, in love(if you're one of them reading this, thanks a ton for sticking with me!).  I hope in some way that this blog will also make some sort of an impact on someone else's life.

On another subject, about a month ago, I finished a book called The Reason for God by Timothy Keller. It was a really good read, because it was simple, engaging, and Keller was not afraid to delve right into hard subjects like hell, injustice caused by the church, and science vis-a-vis religion. Keller drew on a lot of different sources and life experiences as the pastor of Redeemer in New York to put together, first, a defense against many of the objections against Christianity/God; and second, positive reasons why one should follow/believe in Jesus. I recommend you pick it up sometime, whether you believe in the Christian God or not, because it's meant for both and both groups can get something out of it(if you watch his video on the website Keller will tell you as much).

By the way, I'm thinking of starting another blog on language, just because I think it would flow better to have one on my faith/life and another on my tongue. I'll put up a link shortly.

Edit: here's the link
